Hello all, winter has finally arrived! Hopefully you have had a chance to enjoy some of our recent snowfall and take part in some winter sports. My family and I have had a chance to do some sledding and also go for a walk on the now frozen Lac du Cours. However, my son was a little disappointed he couldn’t see the fish through the ice.

With an eye towards spring, Stacey Names has begun to put together the summer 2012 recreation calendar. She will once again have an excellent schedule of events and activities available for the kids of Lac du Cours. She has also been in contact with past lifeguards and is searching for new recruits for this summer. If you know anyone interested in being a Lac du Cours lifeguard this summer, please contact Stacey.

I would like to thank Kerri Schanowski for doing an excellent job filling in as clubhouse manager since October. We have identified a new clubhouse manager and going forward Kim Zaiss will be heading up this role. Kerri will be transitioning to Kim in the very near future and as you have requests to reserve the clubhouse please reach out to Kim going forward. The clubhouse manager generally tries to respond to all e-mail or a voicemail requests within 48 hours; however, during this time of transition I would ask that you please be patient and Kim or Kerri will respond to you as quickly as possible.

Lastly, I would like to welcome Amy Speich to the LDC Board. She has graciously agreed to take over the open position and her term will continue through May 2014. Thanks Amy! We look forward to seeing you at the monthly meetings.
