Yoga at the LDC clubhouse is coming together and we are planning to launch Monday, January 2, 2023, starting with a four-classes-per-week offering. Is this something that interests you? Send an email to Keri Thayer (kerifthayer@gmail.com) or Kiersti Gefke (kgefke@gmail.com) to learn more.

We’ll share more details when we have them. For now, get acquainted with these fantastic instructors, their backgrounds, and what style of yoga they plan to bring to LDC.

Instructor: Genevieve Clancy
I am registered as an E-RYT 200, with a 200 Hr. Hot Yoga training certificate, and have loved practicing and teaching yoga for over 10 years. I have taught a wide range of classes from Power Vinyasa to Yoga Sculpt. Teaching yoga has been my passion and will continue to be for many years to come. The practice of syncing breath with movement helps quiet my mind and soothe my body. I believe yoga should be non-competitive, rooted in mindfulness, and inclusive of all bodies, ages, and abilities.  I emphasize breath awareness and conscious intention to promote ease and stability in each pose. My goal is to help my students find and maintain a peaceful mind and body.

Genevieve’s Class Offerings:

Vinyasa Flow (Mon. & Wed. AM – 1 hour)
This practice culminates with a deep sense of mindfulness, self-connection, and ease. Typical components of a Vinyasa class include a range of standing, seated, and supine poses, twists, balancing postures, and most importantly, Sun Salutations. This style of yoga is practiced linking breath with dynamic fluid movement. Beginners are welcomed are will be encouraged to pace themselves and focus on mastering the basic poses before moving on to the more complex poses.

Candlelight Flow (Thursday evenings – 1 hour)
Relax, unwind and chill out in a calming candlelight setting. With a focus on connecting to your breath, you will make your way through a slow-moving flow preparing your body and mind to unwind from the day’s activities. This practice will incorporate restorative postures. Achieve peace in body and mind by balancing the meditative aspects of breath and stillness with passive yoga poses. All levels welcome.
