Recreation Director Position Remains Open
We’ve yet to have any volunteers to helm LDC’s vacant position as Recreation Director. Seeing as spring is less than a month away (Is that right? That can’t be right. Googles “first day of spring.” Well how ‘bout that.), we’ll need a director quickly or LDC’s time-honored tradition of a legendary summer recreation program will be cancelled*.
The Recreation Director will have a team of helpers ready to assist and the position doesn’t have to be a board position if you don’t want it to be. Please email communications@lacducours.orgby March 15 if you’re interested.
*Splash Days, swim lessons and tennis lessons will continue regardless.
Calling All Lifeguards
Not only is it almost spring, but it’s also almost summer. And summer means swimming at the pool. And you can’t swim at the pool without lifeguards. And you can’t be a lifeguard unless you’re at least 15 years old and have your lifeguard certification from the great state of Wisconsin!
Wait, do you know someone who’s at least 15 years old and has their lifeguard certification? Contact Chris Korjenek (ckorjenek@gmail.com) to sign up to keep our swimmers safe.
Trivia Night
Q: What 1980s heartthrob voiced Donatello in the 1990 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
A: … You’ll just have to come to LDC Trivia Night to find out. (Just pretend the google machine is on the fritz.) Our family-friendly Trivia Night is Saturday, March 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the clubhouse.
