A message from MEQUON-THIENSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Mequon-Thiensville School District was notified this evening that the Mequon Police Department arrested a man they believe approached two girls on March 10, 2014.
According to the Mequon Police Department: On 3/24/14 the Mequon Police Department received additional information regarding an attempted child enticement incident. Through further investigation, MPD was able to identify the individual who was responsible for the contact with the two juvenile children in the 3900 block of W. Freistadt Road on 3/10/14.
The suspect in this incident was taken into custody on 3/24/14 at 1:54 p.m. in the City of Mequon. At that time, the suspect admitted to being the subject who had contact with the young girls related to the complaint.
The investigation is still on going. MTSD is working with MPD to obtain additional information regarding this incident. Please continue to beware of suspicious behavior as we enter the spring weather season and children spend more time outdoors.
