August is gonna be hot with activity around LDC. Here’s what’s coming:

• Saturday, Aug. 3: Family scavenger hunt from 9:30 to 11 a.m. AND the family campout starting at 4 p.m. Please RSVP for both events at social@lacducours.org.
• Friday, Aug. 9: Moonlight Swim from 8 to 10 p.m. with food truck.
• Friday, Aug. 16: Moonlight Swim from 8 to 10 p.m. with food truck.
• Friday, Aug 23: Boat Night from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by a Flick ‘n’ Float from 8 to 10 p.m. RSVP for the Boat Night at social@lacducours.org.

Give It Up for the Guardians of Life
It’s time to show a little love for the lifeguards who keep our kids safe and our adults in check. We’re celebrating Guard Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at the pool. Please have your kids (young and old) make and deliver cards with special thank yous for the squad. Additionally, we’ll be serving treats at 4 p.m.

If anyone is interested in contributing to a small fund for the guards, please deliver donations to Chris Korjenek.
