Now that the summer is over, it’s time to look ahead to what’s happening this fall! We have some volunteer opportunities available to help pack things away for the winter, but also some fun coming up soon for Halloween! Read through and send any questions to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com. ———————- LDC Fall Help Day – Volunteers Needed On Sunday, Oct 17 from 9am – 1pm please consider volunteering to help winterize our grounds. Pizza, beer and refreshments will be provided over lunch! Please meet at the clubhouse. Volunteer Sign Up for LDC Fall Help Day ————————— LDC Halloween: Saturday, October 30 This year we’ll be celebrating Halloween on Saturday, October 30 with two fun events: – Kid’s Halloween party from 12:30 – 2:30pm (families will need to RSVP to this) – Trick or treating around Lac Du Cours from 4pm to 7pm Soon we’ll be sending out more details for the party and guidelines for trick or treating. Stay tuned! ————————— Finance questions? In October, our LDC accountant, Brad Brogan, (who works closely with our treasurer Andrew Rooney) will attend our board meeting so that we can review how our budget is managed. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered too! If you have a question, please submit it via email to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com. ————————— Leaf Pick-Up Dates: Coming Soon! As the weather gets cooler, the leaves will start to pile up. Here in LDC we will have two leaf pick-up dates for residents. Our Grounds Committee is currently confirming those with our landscaping company. Just in case you’re new to the area, leaves are to be piled up on pavement, not on the grass, and should not include sticks, grass clippings or other yard waste. Courts typically pile up leaves neatly on the parking areas. Houses around the lake pile them neatly on the road. ————————— Save the Date: Board Meeting in November for Residents On Tuesday, November 16, we’ll have another semi-annual board meeting that residents are invited to attend. More details to come. |
