Open Positions: Recreations Chair and Book Keeper/Accountant

Open Board Position: Recreations Chair
For the last three years, Brooke Meyers has served as our Recreations Chair on the board. She is now passing the baton to another devoted Lac Du Cours resident. Could that be you? If you’re interested in being the Recreations Chair, please contact the LDC Board by sending an email to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com

What is the Recreations Chair responsible for?
The majority of this role is overseeing the hiring and management of the lifeguards in the spring and summer months. As Brooke’s term is up in May/June, the lifeguards for this year have already been hired. This person needs to make sure the lifeguards are properly certified and that schedules are set. If the lifeguards have questions on the job, this person would answer those questions. In the last couple of years, Brooke has used a scheduling app that has made this part of the job a breeze. Additionally, LDC board members are happy to offer occasional backup support if something comes up.

The other part of the role is organizing recreations for kids and adults throughout the summer. This includes swim lessons, hiring tennis instructors and any other recreational programs you can think of. You get to be creative with this part!

Brooke will be available to train this person on the ins and outs of the position as well.

Why consider this position?
LDC Residents look forward to the summer months all year long, which makes this position especially important. This is a great position for someone that is responsible and driven and wants to actively help shape our great little community.
