LDC Spring Clean Up | Stick Pick Up | Dock Rebuild | And more…

Sign up for LDC Spring Cleanup 2023

As the weather gets warmer, we’re counting down the days until we can enjoy all of Lac Du Cours in its entirety…but there’s work to do! Please consider volunteering for the LDC Spring Cleanup coming up on Saturday, May 13 from 10am to 12pm to help out where you can. Remember, many hands make light work!

Board Succession Planning

At the upcoming Biannual HOA meeting held at the LDC clubhouse for all residents, we’ll be putting out nominations for a couple board member roles that are up for grabs this year. There has been some interest from some residents, but the roles of Treasurer and Pool/Clubhouse are still two that we’re looking to fill. If you are interested or know of anyone interested, please contact any of the LDC board members, or send an email to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com.

Board Position – Treasurer – coordinates with accountant, helps collect HOA fees, provides updates on budget.

Board Position – Pool/Clubhouse – oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the pool and the clubhouse (does not include overseeing lifegaurds or renting out the clubhouse)

Additionally, we’re also planning ahead for filling the spot of Social chair next year. If this is something you may be interested in (and remember there is a social committee to help you), this would be a great time to learn all about it from Gretchen Miller and shadow her with some of the upcoming events she’s planned. Feel free to reach out to her directly to learn more or send an email to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com.

Stick Pick Up Updates and Next Steps

David J Frank has been cleaning up some areas and doing an initial scan this week. They plan to come back on Saturday, April 29 for the rest. If you want someone to collect sticks from your yard, they need to be gathered and placed at the edge of the curb on April 28 (the day before). We don’t have an exact time of when on the 29th, DJF is coming, so please be prepared and put these out the day before so you don’t miss the pick up in your court/side of the lake.

The Lake Is Stocked!

The lake was stocked with 1,150 Largemouth Bass. The selection of Bass was based on feedback from the Facebook page and conversations with people who have expressed interest in fishing. Happy Fishing!

Volunteers Needed: Dock Rebuild and Staining

The plan to repair the dock is under way. The design has been completed and all parts (except lumber and paint) have been ordered. Jon Douglas is scheduling 2 build days before the May 13th install (at the Spring Cleanup).

Build day 1: Saturday April 29th
Build and stain day 2: Saturday May 6th

We’re looking for volunteers to help with this. If you’re interested in helping build or stain, please reach out to Jon Douglas or ldcnewsnow@gmail.com to offer your assistance.
