Note: This is not a bid/proposal, it’s just for benchmarking purposes
Note from the Board: It recently came to our attention that the Johnson Nursery Reforestation report has not been shared with the full community. Please see the brief description below and the linked report.
In 2021, Lac du Cours contracted with Johnson’s Nursery to assess the areas affected by the ash tree deforestation. We asked them to address the following:
- Identify site requirements and conditions
- Select tree species that will meet those requirements and are compatible with site conditions
- Develop a long-term, self-sustaining ecosystem requiring minimal maintenance
- Restore Common Areas to maintain the character of LDC.
The report they produced can be found here
THIS IS NOT A BID / PROPOSAL FOR SERVICES. The report is a benchmarking tool for budgeting purposes.
For 2022, we will be presenting a budget for planting parcel N0, based off the Johnson’s report. Please see pages 15-17 in the linked report. The proposed budget will not increase annual HOA dues.
If funding is approved,
- Requests for Proposals will be sent out to a minimum of three vendors for competitive bids.
- All bids will include:
- Deer protection
- Watering
- A 2-year warranty
- All bids will include:
- An Ad Hoc committee will review bids for compliance with the budget
- Committee will be comprised of one resident from each Court (upper and lower) plus 2 lake residents.
Please do not respond to this email – we want the entire community to be part of the discussion. Please bring your questions and comments to the HOA meeting on December 14th.
