We’re a little more than 1 week out from LDC Fall Help Day 2019 (Sunday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m.), but we’re currently lacking the many hands needed to make light work. There’s lighter work, such as trash pickup, to heavier loads, such as pier removal, but all are important to prep our neighborhood for the winter months. Please consider volunteering by clicking the button below.
Trick or Treat or Crafts or Games
This year’s Halloween (Saturday, Oct. 26) features a day’s worth of spooktacular festivities. It all starts at the clubhouse from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with creepy crafts and ghastly games, served with a side of repulsive (but tasty) refreshments. RSVP to social@lacducours.orgfor planning purposes.
The day continues with Trick or Treating from 4 to 7 p.m. Participating houses should turn on their porch lights to indicate they’ll be serving up either terrifying tricks or thrilling treats.
Movies aren’t just for summer
There may be no floating after summer, but that doesn’t mean there can’t still be flicking. We’ve scheduled the two movies below at the clubhouse:
- Aladdinon Saturday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m.Popcorn and kid-friendly drinks will be served and pillows, blankets and comfy clothes are encouraged.
- Ice Age: Collision Courseon Monday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.Popcorn and kid-friendly drinks will again be served.
