Board Meeting Update: No Official Vote Held – Stay Tuned for Special Meeting Details w/ Revised Budget

First off – thank you to everyone that submitted proxies or took the time to join last night’s board meeting to go over the 2022 Proposed Budget. There were around 50 households in attendance (9 of which were board members). The meeting went for about 2.5 hours with a lot of discussion around the things that matter most to our residents. After listening and hearing statements from many residents, we did an informal poll to see at the very least how people felt about raising overall dues to $1700. The majority opposed.

This was not an official vote on the budget as a whole, but a way for us to get a sense for how everyone was feeling and make sure everyone’s voice was heard.

With that feedback, the Board has agreed to come up with a revised budget. The Board will need to reconvene and then we’ll have to schedule a special board meeting to vote on the revised budget packet. We don’t have those details yet, but will share them as soon as we do.

Overall, we want to thank all of the residents in attendance for the civil, respectful discourse that took place on these important issues. There is more work to be done, but we were able to hear a lot of great voices last night and we appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedules to be in attendance last night.

If you have further questions, please continue to send those to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com

Respectfully,
The LDC Board
