Return Your Voter Proxy Form – Here’s How!

In case you’re unable to attend the meeting, we will be collecting Voting Proxy forms so that your vote still counts.

Not familiar with how proxy votes work? Here’s a refresher:

– If you vote via proxy, you are essentially delegating your vote to whomever you appoint. So, if your proxy votes to support the budget proposal, so do you, and vice versa.
– If you appoint “The Board,” you will be voting to approve everything proposed in the budget packet. If you appoint a specific board member (ex. you name Todd Minkin), then Todd will still be able to vote how he feels his household would vote. Most of the time board members will vote for what is being proposed, but we want to make this clear in case there are differing household votes from board votes in the future.
– If you’re handing in a proxy vote, you should seek to understand how your proxy plans to vote to make sure it aligns with your wishes. Also note, proxy members can’t split votes. They only get one vote and that applies to every proxy vote they hold. Finally, if you fill out a proxy form with your information but leave it blank where you need to delegate a proxy, those votes will all be taken as “Board” votes moving forward.

Here are a variety of ways for you to turn in your voter proxy form (yes, even from your phone):– (COMING SOON – MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE AS OF THIS EMAIL GOING OUT) Tear off the top sheet of the packet and drop off outside the East entrance of the Clubhouse, there is a box labeled “PROXIES HERE” where you can submit your form
– Complete and return the proxy to any of the Directors of the Lac du Cours Homes Association, Inc.
– Take a picture of the voting proxy and send it as an attachment to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com
– Print, complete, scan and return the form to ldcnewsnow@gmail.com

We hope to see you all at next week’s meeting, but if you cannot attend, please complete the Voting Proxy form that was included with the Proposed Budget.
