From the Grounds Chairs…

We want to provide a quick update regarding the Reforestation project. As you may have seen, there has been some treatments done in the N0 area early this week. There is more work to be done later this week and into the Fall season to continue to clean up the weeds and other overgrowth.

Regarding the planting plan for this year, there was a substantial volume of planting done in N0 along the Le Grande street line, which will be flagged to be replanted in the N2/N3 areas behind Brittany, Picardy and Burgundy Cts.

Given the substantial volume we are able to move, we will also be able to reallocate many of the plants intended for N2/N3 to allow for N1 behind Normandy, Burgundy and Riviera Cts, to also be addressed this year!

All of this planting will remain within budget for the 2023 Reforestation year and will save money as N1 wasn’t intended until 2024. 

We want to be sure you are all aware there will be work done within N1, N2 and N3 this week. The mower will be coming thru starting Wednesday to clear a path for planting, with weed mitigation to follow a couple weeks later. Planting will then commence in mid-September!
