THIS SATURDAY (4/15): Stick/Branch Cleanup Around LDC (Also looking for volunteers)

Good evening LDC residents –

If you’re interested in helping or volunteering to help others, we’re going to do a LDC community-wide stick/branch pick-up this Saturday, April 15. To be clear, this is just for the fallen trees/branches/sticks that have been scattered around the neighborhood from the big storms we had a couple weeks back. We’ll hold our annual spring cleanup date for the rest of LDC on May 13 (where we get the pool and tennis courts ready, etc). More details will be shared on that next week.

Here are the details for Saturday:

If you’d like to volunteer your time and have cutting tools (chainsaws or others), you can meet at the LDC clubhouse at 9am. Many folks around the neighborhood have already stepped up to help and if you’d like to do the same, the more, the merrier!

If you’re not able to cut things down, but can help pile sticks up, then you can simply help clean up your own court on Saturday for the volunteers coming around to pile it on the trailer.

On Saturday, we will be going around the courts with chainsaws and tools and the trailer to gather bigger sticks/branches/logs. David J Frank will help with smaller sticks – so we’ll need to pile any stick that is able to be lifted by hand (approx 2” diameter) for them to dispose of. Additionally, anything that is beyond the scope of what volunteers or DJF can handle, we’ll make a determination as to what needs professional help at that time as well.

If you have questions or would like to volunteer, feel free to reach out to Adam Kallio (adam.j.kallio@gmail.com)
