| Hi everyone – we’re still looking for a lot more volunteers for the Fall Help days this coming weekend, Sat Oct 29 and Sun Oct 30. We also have a couple of updates on this event… Update 1: Some of the tasks have been moved to Sunday so that we don’t interrupt the Halloween Kids party happening from 10am – Noon at the clubhouse. Currently, just the tennis courts cleanup and the pier removal are still slated for Saturday. Update 2: Keri Thayer has generously offered to have refreshments in the clubhouse on Sunday from 10-12 for those volunteering their time. We’re talking bagels, donuts, coffee AND bloody marys! Finally, the spirit of having this on two different days was so that we could find times that work for everyone. If you want to volunteer for a certain thing but it’s on the opposite day of your availability, just send us a note at ldcnewsnow@gmail.com and we’ll see what we can do. Make sure to check the activities still available and help out where you can! These LDC amenities are a blessing in the summer but it takes a community of volunteers each spring and fall to get everything set up and take everything down. We appreciate your help!! | REMINDER! 1st Leaf Pick Up Date is Friday, October 28 Don’t forget that David J Frank will be coming around on Friday, October 28 for the first leaf pick up. Leaves are to be piled up on pavement, not on the grass, and should not include sticks, grass clippings or other yard waste. Houses around the lake pile them neatly on the road. |
