| As the weather gets cooler, the leaves will start to pile up. Here in LDC we will have two leaf pick-up dates for residents. The dates for these are as follows: Pickup date 1: Friday, October 28 If the weather doesn’t permit, alternative pick-up dates will be 10/31 or 11/1 Pickup date 2: Friday, November 18 If the weather doesn’t permit, alternative pick-up dates will be 11/21 or 11/22 Just in case you’re new to the area, leaves are to be piled up on pavement, not on the grass, and should not include sticks, grass clippings or other yard waste. Houses around the lake pile them neatly on the road. New this year: We’ve been informed by David J Frank that if leaves are placed at the road after they make their final pick-up on 11/18, residents will be responsible for the cost to bring them back out. |
