[A note from Jon Douglas, Lake Chair]

Lakeland Biologists are scheduled to treat the lake for weeds this Friday 7/16.  Please do not swim in the lake for 24 hrs.  Lakefront residents please do not water for 7 days.  

We apologize for the short notice.  We had hoped the cooler weather would slow the weed growth.  After an inspection by Lakeland earlier this week, they concluded an additional treatment was necessary.

I will follow up with information as to when the treatment occurred.  

In addition, some of you may have noticed a “ghost dock” floating in front of Burghardt’s beach.  We have asked Lakeland to tow the dock to the grassy area near the boat storage.  Once there, we will need volunteers to help dismantle the dock.
