The Mequon Police Department is currently investigating two burglaries which occurred on 11/20/13 and 12/02/13. One burglary occurred on the east side of Mequon the other on the west side. The burglaries occurred during the daytime hours. It is believed that the actor(s) are attempting contact at the residence by knocking on the front door or ringing the doorbell. If there is no answer, the actor(s) will go around to the back or side door to force entry to the residence. If the resident answers the door, the actor(s) will have a story prepared such as they are looking for the SMITH residence or any other story they can think up (car/other item for sale on Craig’s List, lost/need directions, etc).

There have been reports of two individuals being observed at one of the burglaries. Based on the investigation, one actor is smaller in stature than the other. It is possible that the smaller individual is a female. These individuals have been active in other surrounding jurisdictions as well and the Mequon Police Department is working cooperatively with these agencies.

There have also been reports of two vehicles in the neighborhoods around the times of the burglaries.
