Summer has finally appeared and the pool is now open daily from noon to 8 p.m. barring bad weather or any mechanical problems with the pool. Please check the web site LacduCours.org where pool closings and lesson cancellations will be announced. Checking before you leave the house will insure that you aren’t disappointed when you arrive at the pool.

All residents must sign in and sign out at the pool. By state law we have to know how many people are in the pool at any given time should there be an emergency. We ask your help with this. The guards can’t monitor since their job is to keep a watchful eye on swimmers, but we will have someone spot checking on a regular basis.

Please remember that the LDC by-laws state that any family not paying their HOA dues cannot use the pool. LDC does offer payment plans if needed.

Guests are anyone other than those who directly reside in LDC. This means adult children of residents who do not live at home and are over 23 years of age, their children, and friends and relatives of residents are all classified as guests. There are two exceptions to this policy. 1. Babysitters while sitting are not considered guests. 2. Grandparents who have custodial care of their grandchildren either babysitting for the day or longer do not need to sign their (under age 15) grandchildren in as guests. Rental of the clubhouse for a party does not include free use of the pool. All attendees are considered to be guests of the renter and must be signed in as such.
